Heheh I won't start this entry the same way as I've done the
previous ones, but you get the picture I'm sure.
Had a really great holiday - flew to 4 countries around the world
and did heaps of stuff. Watched Titan AE (which is a bloody excellent
movie and I want to watch it again over here when it comes out),
Scary Movie (which is a take-off of all the Screams, I Know What
You Did Last Summer, H20, Matrix, etc) and Shaft (which is a remake
of a 60's or 70's film icon - played this time by Samuel L Jackson).
I've been back to the "boringness" of university and
work for a while now.
On the sport front - things seem to be very bad for both the
Dockers and the Eagles - both didn't make the finals, and even
though the Western Derby was a ripper of a game (which the Dockers
won by 1 point) it was described as being very violent - with
more than 20 charges laid on players from both teams. At this
present moment of writing, Gardiner and Read from the Eagles,
and Dodd from the Dockers, have all been suspended for 2 weeks.
Hmmmm an even longer break since I've written stuff in here -
almost totally due to university assignments/tests and work amongst
other activities.
Anyway the Eagles just got thumped by 14 goals, and the Perth
Glory won last week 2 0 against Wollongong to reach the NSL grand
final (soccer) and host it here in Perth. Should be a good game.
Exams coming up, and applications for work experience need to
be written up, so I'd better get onto them and not update the
other sections of these pages.
Hmm.... been a while since I last wrote an entry in here. Very
big weekend of sport actually last weekend - Eagles thump Adelaide
by 114 points, Dockers beat Richmond by 1 point (this being one
of the few occasions that both Perth footy teams win in the same
round). Glory beat Carlton United? 2 nil. Australia defeat New
Zealand in the 3rd cricket test, clean sweeping the series and
making it 10 straight Test wins in a row, with Gilchrist taking
an Australia record 10 dismissals in the one test and Langer making
122 not out. The Wildcats defeated the Townsville Crocs in the
3rd and deciding game by 20 points to advance to the NBL grand
final, which will be played against the Victoria Titans who etched
out a nailbiting 93 to 89 scoreline in their 3rd game of their
semifinal.
The Queen also made quite an appearance around Perth last week/weekend,
but due to uni and work was unable to go see.
Did a lab today and played a bit of basketball - got an unmarked
test tomorrow though, and heaps of study and assignments to catch
up on.
Dockers lose to Essendon by 36 points - 124 to 88 - now there
are 4 undefeated teams after 3 rounds - Essendon, Geelong, Collingwood
and Sydney.
Well.... quite a big week of sport last week but I didn't have
time to update my webpage due to work and that. Eagles lost last
week and drew tonight with St Kilda - 116 a piece, Dockers won
last week - yet to play against Essendon this weekend, Australia
are ahead of New Zealand in the first innings of their cricket
Test match - NZ scored 298, and in reply Australia are 320 something
or rather :) with Slater making 141 (if I remember correctly),
and currently Steve Waugh (who's reached his century) and Damian
Martyn (who's in his 40's) are at the crease.
Work was pretty cruisy today, got to play a bit of tennis too
with a friend down at UWA.
Just remembered - old site alert!! - but if you like South Park
(which I don't mind but never watch) - there are some cool pictures
and stuff at www.sweeet.com.
Slack day at uni tomorrow, so I thought I might say that here.
Schumacher won the Melbourne Grand Prix, and Micky Malthouse's
new club Collingwood thumped the Hawks in their first game of
the AFL season. Shane Warne equalled Dennis Lillee's record of
355 Test wickets (most test wickets taken by an Australian) and
has the chance of going out on his own once the game against New
Zealand commences tomorrow.
Work was pretty cool, went and saw my friend's new Athlon - damn
spesh, and the footy was a bit up and down - Eagles thumped North
Melbourne 154 to 111 and Geelong downed Fremantle 129 to 107 in
the AFL. Toga@UWA was on last night - quite a few people I know
went to that and got a bit s**tfaced so to speak :)
A cooler day in terms of temperature today - big change from
the previous few days which have been up past the mid 30's - but
it was so humid that at fitness and basketball and karate I found
I sweated sooo much :( I don't usually do.
A relatively busy and hot day at uni after a full weekend (work
and a kewl party on Saturday night). I certainly am looking forward
to a slack day tomorrow - start at 2pm WOOHOO! Gotta make a button
for my silly music page too someday.
Had only one hour of uni today *grin*. So basically after going
to fitness, I relaxed for the rest of the day and caught up with
a friend who I haven't spoken to in a while.
Ryan Campbell scored a blistering 203 in the Western Warriors'
1st innings against the Queensland Bulls in the Pura Milk Cup.
New Zealand also reclaimed the America's Cup with a 5 nil (best
of 9) win over the Italians in the final.

Went back to university today. Started at 9am and finished at
6pm :( Not a great first day if I could say so myself.

Great weekend for sport - Adam Gilchrist helps the Australian
One day cricket team to it's highest one day score ever in beating
New Zealand. Ryan Campbell does likewise as the Western Warriors
defeat Queensland Bulls in the Mercantile Mutual Cup. The Eagles
defeat the Dockers by 5 points, and the Wildcats beat league leaders
Adelaide 36ers by a thrilling 2 points. Add to the good result
at the Glory amongst other stuff and it makes it a real shame
that I was at work whole of the weekend :(
