Music

I do enjoy listening to music - and a wide variety at that. I don't have anything against any group really as I base my enjoyment of music on the group/singer's talent and whether the tune is catchy/musical or not rather than the image that they (try to) create. I've done music for quite a while - started playing the piano when I was 4 years old (I don't really play any more though) so I've got quite an ear for music.

The radio stations we have here which I listen to (or have listened to) are 720 (AM), 1080 6IX, RTRFM, PMFM 92.9, MIX 94.5, 96FM, Coast FM 97.3, 98.5 Sunshine FM, and Triple J (so pretty much all of the major ones hehe).

What you might hear playing :

  • Offspring - Want You Bad
  • Spiderbait - Glokenpop
  • Aurora - Ordinary World
  • Soul Asylum - Misery
  • Scooter - Fire
  • Gatecrasher Discotech Songs
  • Powderfinger - Passenger
  • Live - Run to the Water
  • ATB - Killer
  • Creed - Higher
  • Creed - With Arms Wide Open
  • Sash! - Together Again
  • Watchmen - Stereo
  • Weird Al stuff
  • The Driver Project - Join Me
  • Darude - Sandstorm
  • Lotel - Teenager of the Year
  • Matthew Sweet - Sick of Myself
  • Regurgitator - Freshmint
  • 3 Doors Down Album
  • The Living End - Pictures in the Mirror
  • 28 Days - Goodbye
  • Lots of various dance mixes
  • Lifehouse - Hanging by a Moment
  • Lifehouse - All of You
  • Something for Kate - Three Dimensions
  • Alex Lloyd - Amazing
  • Rick Price - Heaven Knows
  • Nickelback - Worthy to Say
  • Nickelback - Leader of Men
  • Titiyo - Come Along
  • Sgt Slick - Let It Ride
  • Oasis - Wonderwall
  • Live - Overcome

Yeah some of these are old - but I still enjoy hearing them. I do enjoy listening to 70's and 80's and early 90's stuff too - so as you can see I'm not fussy about my tastes - so long as its got a tune to it, or something catchy. Classical music also gets a play sometimes.

I'll make a mention also about 4 local bands/artists that some people that I know belong to that definitely deserve credit. Halogen and Fourth Floor Collapse certainly have been in the spotlight recently, and best of luck to them in the future. Full Scale Deflection are also a class act that definitely should be checked out, and High Impedance will definitely cater for those with a taste for music that differs from the conventional - very interesting material (u go Steve!). Check em out when you can.
