336th Squadron was formed in 1943 in the Middle East as part of the Royal Air Force, flying Hurricanes & subsequently Spitfires, using Greek personnel. Before the end of the war the squadron was transferred to Greece. In 1965, the 336th received it's first F-104s & used them until 1993, when the Starfighters were replaced by A-7 Corsairs.
In 1993, this aircraft was painted in Anniversary colors to celebrate the 50 years of the Squadron. It is an ex-German plane constructed my Messerschmitt.
