In a Global Context: Australasia's archaeological evidence of the Globalisation process.

Inveresk, Launceston,
Tasmania, 24-26 Sept 2009

The 2009 ASHA/AIMA conference will discuss the archaeological evidence for Australasia's role in the globalisation process.

The history of modern Australasia is intimately tied to the ongoing processes of Globalisation. From early exploration and settlement through to today, the social and economic development of the Australasian region has been shaped by Global influences. This conference will explore the development and management of Australasia's historic and maritime archaeological sites and places within the broader context of relevant world events.

Join us 24-26 September 2009 at the Inveresk Rail Yards, Launceston, Tasmania for the ASHA/AIMA annual conference.

The Launceston Tram Shed Function Centre, Inveresk, will be the conference venue.

Excursions will be organised to sample the heritage, culture and cuisine of northern Tasmania.
