Autumn in Japan is the best time for visiting their gardens and to find out "Why Japanese people love nature so much". We will enjoy some of the beautiful Gardens of Kyoto as well as Kenroku-en in Kanazawa, which in my opinion is the best garden of Japan.
However, we’ll spend a lot of time in some of the famous Bonsai nurseries including -
Omiya Bonsai Village, 6-7 very good Bonsai nurseries in small town.
Hakuyo-en, Hiro’s nursery.
Fujikawa-en, Mr Kimura’s best friend.
Koju-en, Shohin (small Bonsai) specialist in Kyoto.
Takagi art gallery, Tokyo
If many people want to bring back a Bonsai or two, we could ask Hiro’s place to prepare them the day before we return to Perth. (You must take all soil off, and then cover up with sphagnum moss.) Bonsai are under priced at the moment.
Be prepared as we will be walking a lot, ( up to 5-6 Km a day), also there are a lot of steps so please start training now !
When I have 10-15 people booked, I will present a short seminar for "things you need to know" but please ring me anytime if you have any questions.
