The 'rumpis remain one of the few legitimate successful mixes of Koori concerns and attitudes in the good old electric rock band format and this new re-recorded bash at one of their anthems does show some of the goodly noise that can generate, and Neil Murray's is a damn fine rabble rouser, though on the more acoustic Never Change shows the delicacy is still there, maybe even a bit more so than his solo offerings. And Djulpan, possibly invents a new pigeonhole, Alice Springs Surf Music. And, unlikely as that may seem, it works quite nicely. Don't buy as a cultural novelty, buy 'coz it is good.
