According to the Australian Design Rules, the Millennium Motor cycle is classified as an LEP2 type vehicle, that is: a motorcycle which has two wheels at the front, one wheel at the back, and the drivers seat is not of the saddle type.  The Millennium MC is unusual because it has the ability to lean up to 37° around corners.  This leaning capability is controlled by the balance of the driver, (free leaning) just like a two wheel motor cycle.  When the vehicle is stationary or going very slowly the leaning brake is applied to keep the vehicle upright, as speed increases, the leaning brake is then released to put the machine in 'free leaning' mode.  We have been using the term 'Hypertrike' to define the genre.
