GE Open Wagon

Number in Service: 11
Construction: Scratchbuilt from styrene.

This is the first Sn3 wagon I built way back in 1979. This particular wagon features sprung axleboxes from a Peco 4 mm scale underframe kit. Most later 4-wheel wagons have compensated suspensions using etched brass W-irons from various UK 4 mm scale suppliers. Some of the other GE's in service have been made by Gavin Stallard from polyester castings.

JTJ Fuel Tank Wagon

I converted these Jouef European tank wagons into freelance tankers to boost the tanker fleet. The conversion involved removing the buffers, fitting end sills made from styrene channel, new 12 mm wheels and Kadee couplers. The wagons were already finished in a BP livery.
