X Class LocoThe X class diesel had an unusual 2-Do-2 wheel arrangement, designed to achieve a light (8 ton) axle load for rural lines.Introduced in 1954, they rapidly replaced steam locos in inland parts of the WAGR system where water supplies were difficult. Lynton Englund built the model. |
