All teams expect the first season with a new car to be tricky. Our's was no exception. On it's first event, the Quit Forest Rally,
the car suffered transmission failure just 3km into the first gravel stage and the team was forced to retire early. On the next
event, the Safari rally (pictures above), the car ran better with a new transmission although power steering failure dropped us
well down the order by the end of the rally.

By the Experts Cup rally (pictures below) toward the end of the season, the team had worked hard on developing the WRX
and the car became reliable. Without the rally trip computer working in the car we were competing in a blind rally, litterally
blind! Despite the trip computer hurdle we finished the Experts Cup 12th, our highest finish in a State round at that point .
