Well. Somewhat farting.
I can't believe I wrote that as a topic. I can't believe I only got 20 minutes of study done before my brain told me to GAGF. Work today was work, one of my workmates is severely shitting me with his laziness. I dont really like the place but I do pride myself on doing things on time. I got that from uni and have carried it over into a place where it almost doesn't translate. No one seems to mind if things are a couple of days out of deadline. My perfectionist uni spirit cannot take this awful reality and I keep on trying to push things out regardless.
So my first day of being On The Mend (tm), consisted of eating pretty well (although a lot) and going to the gym. The goal is not to lose weight. The goal is to eat well and go to the gym.
Here is what I ate today (because I am proud of myself):
Breakfast: Porridge with half a banana and cinnamon sugar.
Morning tea: Lemon tart diet yogurt and a handful of mixed, salted, roasted nuts <3
Morning morning tea: An impromptu (and gigantic) hot chocolate.
Lunch: Salad and prosciutto roll and half a banana (the other half).
Afternoon tea: Half a mango with a handful of nuts.
Dinnar: Stir fried garlic prawns and salad. A banana paddlepop.
Post dinnar hunger battle: Hot chocolate with revolting protein shake stirred in.
As you can see, I need a lot of food spread out across the day. On Mondays I am STARVING. Then as I move through the rest of the week I become hardly hungry at all. There's at least a kilo of food there. Fuck I hope I'm less hungry tomorrow.
Today a nice guy chatted to me in the gym. He read my name on my workout card (which lists what exercises you have to do and all NOOBS carry around with them until they know it backward) and congratulated me on turning up. He didn't work there or anything, was just an enthusiastic (and nice) body builder. His face was too ripped though, he looked around 50 and I'm sure he was 40.
Man I want to do nothing this weekend. This week is practically a writeoff again study wise and given that I managed fuck all again I am going to get pretty depressed :/ Hopefully my weekend stays free and I can squeeze in a couple of benders. I also must remember to borrow serps calculator because for graphs and stoichiometry you kind of need one. Mum wants to come over and sew tomorrow night, its serp and I three year ACEIVERSARY on wednesday, sewing class (last one fortunately) is on thursday, and by friday I am stuffed (but I might try to read some biol anyway). Next week is looking pretty clear though.
All I can think of though is that line from What Katy Did (one of my favourite books to read as a kid - and I did over and over) which goes "But alas! Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow!"
