Meanwhile, I had one of the best Christmases I've had in 6 or 7 years. After last years marathon crying session after more or less being told that I had everything from Dad (not true) whereas another sibling got nothing, this years Christmas was nothing short of relaxing. serps parents spoiled me rotten with good food, booze, and presents and I admit to having an attack of the guilts because I can't remember the last time I experienced such spoiling on my account. I managed to finally get some kind of headspace too.

I was chatting to serps Dad friend, a doctor specialising in anti ageing medicine (and who is on the atkins diet!?) and I asked him about the circles under my eyes and what could be done about them. He told me he'd been injecting restylane into those areas with good results, but that it may also be congestion and pointed to my can of diet coke and shook his head. He also informed me that sugar was a very ageing compound and should not be eaten at all. Then I asked if fruit was okay and he said it was. Later I asked serps Dad if honey was okay given that it was fructose instead of sucrose and he told me that sugar is sugar and the difference is about as great as leaded and unleaded petrol, i.e. marginal. So I ended up even more confused! Then serps Dad drew a trans fatty acid diagram for me ^_^ He is a gun at organic chemistry and loves it.

Anyway in the interests of my health, I'll cut out milk and sugar, and on Diannes advice, eat four different coloured vegetables a day. After I clear out my cupboard of mince pies, chocolates, and Christmas cake ;)

Organic chemistry is the r0x0rz. Sort of makes me wish I'd done VCE chemistry, actually.

I wish I'd done it too!! I agree, it is really interesting (over the space of a year!)
