Biography Ana has a degree in Portuguese Language and Literature, an M.A. in Medieval Literature, and currently doing her PH.D. As well as being a painter and writer, she is author of a book about Lancelot.

Her interest for bellydance came from her medieval research about the moorish presence in Iberian Peninsula, the conflicts of the old pagan religions, concerning the Great Mother or Goddess, field of her PH.D, with the new religions. Ana also teaches medieval and renaissance courtly dance, and has researched Arabian Nights literature and medieval entertainment.

Studying Arabic language, Ana had extended her passion into bellydance - taking classes German teacher Prisca Diedrich, Portuguese Joana Saahirah and Marinna Hafsa, Iris and Elsa Shams, Egyptian Farida Fahmy, Mohammed Elmasseri and Shokry Mohamed, Brasil's Renata Lobo, Claudia Cenci, Lulu Sabongi and Maya Gaorry, Spainish Zuel, France's Annie Nganou, Belgium's Salwa, and fusion styles with Rachel Brice, Anna Radik and Yuriy Kulyk, Myriam Szabo and Joana Saahirah.

In England, Ana had classes with Jillina (USA), Jacqueline Chapman (UK) and Keti Sharif (Australia/Egypt), doing with Keti both A-Z Original and Advanced Bellydance Routines Course. Ana performed at the 'Colombo Festival 2005' (Madeira) and live performances with the indian music group Alap.
