Biography A professional competitor with the Australian Dance Society, WADMA & the Australian Institute of Dance sport, Suzanne specialized in Latin American and Standard Ballroom. Professional Ballroom Oscar Award medallist, she has coached and assisted WA champions, taught dance at colleges in Western Australia and performed with a touring troupe throughout the state.

Suzanne managed her own studio in Perth for many years, taking students through examinations and assessments in a variety of styles. Her instruction included Jazz Aerobics & formation sequences. Travel and performance engagements included a variety of professional dance shows in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand & Malaysia.

Suzanne's introduction to bellydancing was the result of a sudden change of fate. A horse riding accident left Suzanne with severe multiple spinal fractures and abdominal injuries. However, her determination and positive attitude, coupled with bellydance exercises as rehabilitation, aided her miraculous return to the dance floor. Bellydancing helped strengthen her muscles and restore flexibility and muscle control to her severely damaged back. However, Middle Eastern dance became her passion, and lead her to Egypt on seven seperate occasions to further her studies in the art.

Suzanne's wealth of dance experience has inspired her to create playful, energetic Arabic/Latin fusion styles. Nowadays she keeps busy doing what she loves - dancing, teaching and helping others. Suzanne's vast knowledge of international dance examination procedure forms the basis for assessment guidelines for Keti Sharif's A-Z Certification system.

She is a member of the A-Z Assessment panel, an official A-Z Assessor and Pulse8 Fitness master trainer. Suzanne lectures once a month also.
