An Act For You
Why don't you
take away my hurt?
Why can't you
make the pain fade?
You try so hard
to make me feel alright
But you can't
You can't help
From deep beneath
my emotions
My heart can't
live
For those who
can't see the reality
They notice my
shadow left behind
I'm invisible
to the naked eye
Sit up and stare
me down
Can you find
what you wish for me to reveal?
Never.
I'll put on an
act for you

Look what you
have done
You made her
cry
Why does she
shake?
She isn't perfect
like you expected
You stereotyped
her as an angel
Why can't you
see her in a different way?
The way she is
The way she has
been
You just never
paid attention
Take interest
in her
Speak.

know when
She might leave
your side

lost on you
all my pain for
you fell through
everything i did
turned out so wrong
you're the one leaving
and i'm the one gone
i poured myself out
for you
and i always thought
you did too
seeing people smile
only makes me sad
happiness reminds
me of what i'll never have
watching the clouds
melt around the sun
knowing that our
tomorrow can never come
too many days i
