Coralie
I have a Secondary Teaching Diploma with 8 years
secondary teaching experience.
In
1995, I completed a Certificate of Commercial Dressmaking at the South
Metropolitan College of TAFE, winning the award for the Top Part Time
Student and the award for the Top Full Time Graduating Student.
Upon
graduation, I started Quality Stitch-n-Fit as a home based part-time
business, doing dressmaking and bridal wear, and combined this with
part time sewing teaching in a fabric store and at the South Metropolitan
College of TAFE. I then further developed my home based business to
include lessons.
After
a 5 year period and to get beyond the confinements of running the business
at home, I decided to expand, but realised I couldn't do this alone,
so enlisted the help of my sister Debbie.
My
love of sewing and teaching inspired me to pass on my knowledge, so
that you too may reap the benefits and enjoyment of sewing for yourself,
your family and your home and producing work of a high standard.
Debbie
I have many years dressmaking experience including
extensive work with dance costumes.
When
Coralie approached me to join her in her business venture, I was quite
excited and thought this was a wonderful opportunity to further my love
of sewing and to use my dressmaking skills in helping with the clothing
alterations and repairs component of the business.
I
have extensive experience in dealing with people and students, having
worked in the government school system. My office management experience
and diverse computer skills have been invaluable in producing all our
advertising literature and running the commercial side of the business.
