Haberdashery

Within our store we carry a range of haberdashery,
catering especially for the requirements of our sewing students,
but also welcome the general public.

We have a good range of zips, threads, buttons and studs, interfacings,
shoulder pads and boomerangs, tailoring tools, scissors, seam rippers,
chalk wheels and pencils, sewing machine needles and many other
machine accessories - and much more.

Iron on Interfacings - There is a wide variety available, so correct selection
for each fabric is essential to keep the garment permanently in shape whilst maintaining
drapability. They are simple to use and make sewing easier.

We have available:-
Fashionfuse Jacket - 70% knitted viscose, 30% synthetic. A knitted fusible interlining
for use in light to heavy weight jackets - on collars, lapels, fronts and facings when requiring
a tailored looking garment.

Fashionfuse Jacket Special - 100% knitted synthetic. A new generation of multi elastic interlining
especially developed to perform well on todays fabrics. Also performs well on difficult fabrics -
(eg acetates, gabardines, polished linens etc) - for use on collars, lapels, fronts and facings when
requiring a tailored looking garment.

Fashionfuse Soft Knit - Knitted polyester. A new generation knit interlining that allows heavy fabric
to remain soft and drapable after fusing, but not heavy and spongy. This polyester knitted interlining is
ideal for dresses, blouses and jackets. It gives collars, cuffs and facings 'body' but not stiffness or bulk.

Cotton Voile - Light weight woven interfacing which gives body and maintains suppleness to
light to medium weight fabrics.

Vilene H410 - Softline with stabalizing threads - for fronts, collars, cuffs etc on jackets and coats.
Also for blouses and dresses.

Vilene F220 - Standard - for collars, facings, cuffs pockets etc on lightweight blouses and dresses.

We carry a range of Kwik Sew patterns
If we do not have the pattern you require, we can order it in for you
to be back within 2 - 3 days.
