================================================================

This tree is provided to family historians without prejudice. I have constructed most of my family trees using the data I have available, and in a few cases it is estimated as the best fit from available choices. In this tree, several of the links are yet to be proved, so any help that you can give to confirm any line would be appreciated by me and others searching in this family. More modern families also need your inputs, because as I can link modern families to each other, and thus it enables a focus on their common ancestry. The memories of one branch may not be complete, but yet may fill in gaps of another branch. Only by a concerted effort can we really define the true lineage. Help me to help you by sharing what you have. Many additional details have been provided by other researchers and I have included the contributor's email addresses within the file next to their families. (NOTE- their addresses have been corrupted on purpose to avoid spamming). Special thanks to:-

Richard LEISHMAN for sending me all his census extractions, Kilsyth burials and his family notes,

Alex ABERCROMBIE for his census extraction and family notes and also

Jeanette FINDLAY for sending me her Abercrombie files

These contributions have allowed me to add in many modern lines and cross check my earlier research.

My thanks to you all. - Ken STEWART < kjstew@iinet.net.au >     10 Oct 2002

Susan MCCONVILLE arrived in New York in 1888 with some of her children. With her were David (Hugh's son), Edward, and Robert McConville as well as Alexander, Mary and Thomas Abercrombie. They were aboard the S. S. State of Pennsylvania. It arrived in December 1888.

I cannot be sure if the date is 21 or 4. (from Jane LESNER)

The son Isaac ABERCROMBIE is not visible in the emigrations, however he is in America in 1892, but back in Northumberland by 1895. Susan returns with the children to the US in 1903 on the "Celtic". Isaac was not with them.
