Thomas died on 17th May 1869, drowned in the creek at Mutton Cove at Port Adelaide. He had been away from his Tarlee home on business as a harness maker and coach trimmer, and after a

drinking binge was found drowned in the creek. The origins of this Thomas still proves to be a mystery
