John KITTOW
(c1670) appears to have died early leaving a young family with their mother to
the care of his brother-in-law, Thomas CONGDON, who faithfully carried out the
trust. The latter married somewhat late
in life Joan BUDGE, who predeceased him childless. He died in 1748, leaving the
bulk of his property to John KITTOW's children.

of 260 acres of Browda in 1861, purchased “Patrieda” – 112 acres from Sir James
Tillie in 1867, unmarried farmer (83) of 250 acres in Linkinhorne 1871,
original investor, made fortune and then purser (chief cashier) of South
Caradon Mine for 40+ years, also purchased around 1876 “Stockadon” – 24 acres (built by Mr Wm Bradford in 1839,
directly behind Browda), yeoman of 180 acres (93) in 1881, died on own estates
at Browda in 1886. Browda Estate consisted of “Browda” - 108 acres,
“Beneathwood” - 72 acres and “Lower Millcombe” - 86 acres. Browda was
classified as 382 acres in 1873. never married
