is an enjoyable and interesting hobby. Making your own
equipment for your hobby adds to the enjoyment and
provides an extra sense of achievement. A wine press is
probably one of the easiest pieces of winemaking
equipment to build and one that any home handyman can do.
These plans will give somebody interested in winemaking and woodworking all the knowhow needed to build a wine press and save a bit (or potentially a lot) of money. You do not need to be an experienced woodworker or need any fancy tools (I certainly have neither). The photo below shows the press that I made and use to make my wine. I have used the press for four years now and it works a treat. The plans available on this site will show you how to make a press that looks exactly like this one.
