• Obituary: 9 Jun 1930, Bendigo, Vic, Australia. ⁷ MASTERSON --The many friends of Mr Martin Joseph Masterson, of Junction Street, Eaglehawk, will regret to hear of the death of his wife on Friday morning at the age of 46 years. She had been in indifferent health for a considerable time. Born in Bendigo, the deceased had lived for the greater part of her life in the borough, and enjoyed the popularity of a large number of friends. She leaves a family of one son and two daughters. The funeral on Saturday to Eaglehawk Cemetery was largely attended. The casket, covered with flowers and artificial tokens, was carried to the grave by Messrs Leo Masterson, and Horace James (brothers-in-law), B.Dyett, uncle, and B.Crameri (nephew). Rev. Father E.Rooney conducted the service at the graveside, and the funeral arrangements were in the hands of Mr. E. C. Brown.

Mary married Martin Joseph Masterson, son of Patrick Masterson and Johanna Butler, on 11 Nov 1911.¹ (Martin Joseph Masterson was born on 2 Aug 1882 in Inglewood, Vic, Australia ⁸, died in 1933 in Eaglehawk, Vic, Australia ⁹ and was buried in Eaglehawk, Vic, Australia ¹⁰.)
