Mary's mother Barbara Scott was transported to Tasmania in 1837, arriving 1838. Mary, aged 11 travelled with her mother and a baby sister aged 11 months (believed to have died). Her mother Barbara Scott died shortly after arrival in Tasmania. Mary had 2 other siblings but no information as yet. They remained in England with their father. Mary married John Partridge on 21 Nov 1843 in Hobart, Tas, Australia.1 (John Partridge was born circa 1813 6 and died on 10 Oct 1884 in Launceston, Tas, Australia 2 7.)
