It assumes that all students finished their five years at the school.

In modern terminology, the “Class of 1977” is the year you would/could/should
have completed Year 12 (even if you were only at the school briefly, for a short time).
The advantage is that students are listed with the names of others from their peer group.

Class lists for the first few years of the school have been completed from copies of early admission registers. Class lists for years from 1972 onwards were built from lists in the school magazines, Lawley. Admission Registers recorded very little detail, only: Admission Number Date of Admission Family Name Given Name Date of Birth Date of Leaving No school magazine was produced in 1975. That’s when this Class of 1977 was in Third Year (or was it called Year 10 by then?). I have suggested to “Baggers” that we do a “retrospective school magazine” called Lawley 1975 Retrospective, here on the internet in the [unofficial] Lawley Alumni website. If you have school photos from 1973 to 1975, I would really like to obtain a copy of them. If you have anything you wrote (literary or humorous) from those days, I would really like to obtain a copy of it. If you have anything that you drew (within reason, of course), then I'd like a copy of it. Credits supplied by you will be used. If you have any other memorabilia from those years which can be photographed or scanned, I’d like to have a copy of it. I can’t tell you in advance what will be used, but as a web page, it would be dynamic for a few weeks or months, and occasionally after that. “Baggers” is Gavin Bagley from Lawley alumni Class of 1975. He was a Lawley student from 1971-5.
