1. The developing baby in the first eight weeks of pregnancy.
2. The developing baby from eight weeks of pregnancy to birth.

3. A fertilised egg cell.

6. The process by which the blastocyst becomes embedded in the wall of the uterus, usually occurring seven to nine days after conception. 7. The watery liquid in which the baby floats, within the uterus, until birth.

8. The outer embryonic membrane, which originated from the trophoblast, and which sends villi into the wall of the uterus.
