Designed by Richard Macfarlane,
about fifty to sixty Windrush Wildfires were built between 1978 and 1982 by Windrush Yachts in Western Australia.
It is believed that there were only about a dozen of them ever sold in the eastern states and about two dozen sold in South Australia. The rest remained in Western Australia.

The hull, deck, rudder and centre board moulds are still with Bret Burvill, the current owner of Windrush Yachts. Bret also has some other bits and pieces for Wildfires. Bret would be willing to give the hull and deck mould to anyone interested in building a new wildfire.
Bret can be contacted via Windrush Yachts.

This web site is maintained by Steve Laws,
Wildfire owner and member of TCYC & FSC in Western Australia.
The aim is to locate all Wildfires and hear from any Wildfire owners or previous owners, with the intention to document the history of the class.
All suggestions, photographs, history, stories, Wildfires for sale and extra content are very welcome.
Please address all web site correspondence to Steve
.
