Download the following files to build an electric motor switch with a timer function and low voltage cutout. The design is for 5 to 15 Cells, and 10 to 50 Amps. This design is presented to stimulate the development of electric control line flying, but can be used equally well in an electric glider, free flight model, or other application where a timed run is needed.

Circuit Description & Assembly Instructions
Any problems building the controller? Any component failures during use? Can the clarity of the drawings or instructions be improved? Then email me. Or just let me know what type of model the controller went into.
Updates
The circuit has been revised in the low voltage cut out section to prevent false stoppages. Components C5, D4, R14, and R15 have been added. The schematic and construction diagrams have been updated.
Tip for motor currents >30 Amps. The combination of high currents and battery, connector, and wiring resistance cause the controller to falsely shut down due to low battery voltage. To prevent this, select the value of D1 from the table one cell lower than actually used.
