The Remote AC Switch has been designed to remotely switch the 240 VAC mains. The Switch is intended to be used in conjunction with pool chlorinator and lighting controllers to provide switching of the pool light from a convenient location. The Switch is designed to remedy the present situation of the pool light switch being on the chlorinator control unit and installed in the corner of the property. Mains wiring can be run to a more convenient location, but the cost of installation in a long run becomes prohibitive, or the location of the switch may be prohibited under wiring and safety rules. The Switch avoids these problems by using safe low voltage DC to switch the mains. This allows the activating switch to be placed in a convenient location. Installation costs are reduced as the activating switch wiring can be buried along the edge of a garden bed.
