Instructions to Task 7

Changing from One-way to Two-way

  1. Work in pairs (one Aboriginal person and one non-Aboriginal person).
  2. Develop a set of recommendations for implementing the change from One-way to Two-way education in your district.
  3. Identify any barriers to your implementation and refer to your strategies for overcoming these.
  4. Identify any opportunities that can be improved or developed to change to Two-way education.
  5. You might want to refer to the maps of your district to plan your strategies.
  6. Take your recommendations, barriers and strategies to the group for comparison and discussion.
Objectives - this task should help you to:
  • Plan your first steps in implementing Two-way education,
  • Develop a framework for the process of implementing change.
