Some responses to task 7
Identify leaders in the school and establish partnerships;
Enlist the support and expertise of the local community (Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal);
Identify a school which can be developed and 'sold' as a success story;
Make sure that there is Aboriginal representation on all committees;
Promote Two-Way education in the School Newsletter, Curriculum News, etc;
'Talk it up' at meetings, briefings, etc;
Develop induction programs for new District office staff.
