The Abstract
Your abstract both summarises and advertises your work.
- The Abstract is a summary of your research from beginning to end. It describes the aim, the theoretical framework, the methodology, the findings and the conclusions which can be drawn from it.
- The abstract advertises your thesis. It is the abstract upon which the examiner bases his/her decision to examine your thesis.
- For a thesis the abstract can constitute up to three or four pages but it must be written in a very concise style in order to appropriately describe your work within the space.
