Results
In the results chapter you present all your findings. These may be quantitative or qualitative or both:
- Quantitative data is ideally presented with tables and with graphs, histograms, etc. However it is important to accompany each figure with a written explanation of what it contains. This gives you an opportunity to highlight for the reader/examiner any interesting and/or anomalous findings.
- Qualitative data can be presented as a classification of themes (eg: concerns of the study population) and should be supported with numerous quotes. Alternatively or additionally the data can be presented as a series of case studies or 'stories' of individuals' experiences. Case studies need to 'set the scene' so that the subject's experiences can be seen in context.
