Dragon I Long ago I was cursed Through my ignorance And a wizards greed My death I foresaw. II A knight in shining armor Would ride to my castle's walls Challenging the wizard For my love. III As his champion fought My lord sought to find me. He climbed the walls, Slipped past the guards, And hastened to my quarters. IV Upon arriving he swore For there resting Was a green and gold dragon. The demon raised its head. V My Lord's bravery is without doubt. His courage has no blemish He drew his sword Looked the demon right in the eye Charged forward with an almighty scream And plunged his sword deep Into the dragons heart. VI Silence held time still To be shattered By the wizards evil laugh As it echoed through the castle's halls VII At a loss My Lord watched Helplessly As the demon dragon Transformed into me. My Lord's sword Still deep within my heart. Blood staining my green dress. VIII My Lord stuck the demon dragon And killed me. IX My ignorance is no longer My death is foreseen The beautiful sun sets It's last rays Are reflecting off my scales.
