About Shelinka Bears

Shelinka is the business identity of Sheila Linton, Bear and Pattern Maker. As a teacher, I found it necessary to design a range of patterns for my students' use in my classes. I have been teaching and designing teddy bears since 1995, and established Shelinka as a registered business in 1996.

Originally established as a part-time business to supply local pattern demand, Shelinka has grown by popular demand. This has necessitated a change in direction, with a concentration on design and pattern development. The bears offered in the Catalogue show the diversification of the styles available, and hopefully will challenge bear makers who are developing their craft, to create character bears that are just a little bit different from the norm.

Included in all patterns is a set of instructions written in much the same way as I would teach a class. Several of the bears in the Catalogue have already won awards, both those completed by myself, and a great many by my students.

The retail price for all patterns is currently $12.00 (Australian). Postage and handling are additional. Insurance is available on request. Wholesale enquiries are welcome.
