| Karin Schaupp & Pavel Steidl for Musica Viva Australia in assocation with Perth International Arts Festival ![]() Karin's web page Pavel Steidl's web page |
Two of the world's finest guitarists perform together for the first time in these memorable concerts. Australian Karin Schaupp and Czech Pavel Steidl, both equally acclaimed for their technical brilliance, bring their renowned onstage warmth and emotional expressiveness to a program of the utmost intimacy and beauty. Inspired by great guitar duos of the past (often husband and wife teams), the music traverses a history of the guitar itself: from the delicacy of the tiny 'Terz' guitar, through the elegant 19th-century model beloved of Paganini, and on to the modern instrument found in so many homes today. Throughout the concert, Karin and Pavel share the stories and context of the music to create an entertaining, engaging and unforgettable experience. |
