ECHOES OF DJANGO
Echoes of Django started as two musicians (French guitarist Romain Guery and Australian guitarist Aaron Deacon) performing old Django Gypsy jazz. Throughout the busking sessions in Fremantle, their music began to grow, resulting in new compositions with hot improvisation and creative ideas. With the addition of upright bassist Gavin Shoesmith and violinist Freya Peterson, the band has grown to be one of Perth's most exciting emerging jazz acts. 8pm Sat

THE DAVE SMITH QUARTET
Dave Smith and Cory Sea are guitarists of the highest calibre. With contrasting styles, instruments and techniques they highlight the richness and excitement of the guitar as a jazz and latin instrument. Dave's expertise with the pick and authoritive understanding of the jazz idiom is an exciting contrast to Cory's fingerstyle virtuosity on the nylon string. Come and enjoy this tribute to the guitar. 8pm Sat
