Requests - how to
We welcome your requests.
Between us we have a fair range of music but since we cannot bring a whole library into the studio, a request may take a week or two to be broadcast.

We have a project to create a history of this wonderful radio programme. The show and its predecessors are among the longest running on this station which was also the first FM station in WA.
Plucked Strings and its predecessors celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the first broadcast [6th April 1987] with an anniversary edition of the show on 2nd April 2017.

The Light on the Edge:
a celebration of the works of
Phillip Houghton
Image description
Perth Guitar Quartet:
Melissa Fitzgerald, Jameson Feakes
Chris Kotchie, Robert Parker

The Perth Guitar Quartet were shocked and saddened at the sudden passing of Phillip Houghton at the end of September this year. While tribute concerts have taken place on the east coast, we have decided to hold our own on the west coast.
This special evening will feature a range of Houghton's works, from solos through to quartets, all presented by the Perth Guitar Quartet, and featuring guest artist Shayne Harris [flute].
Come and be transported into the evocative sound world - an unmissable event.
