My name is Alice Duncan and I have been a member of the church of the Holy Cross, for 53 years. During those years, I have attended services regularly, on a Sunday, to worship and praise God and receive the blessed Body and Blood of His Son Jesus Christ, in the Holy Communion Service.
I enjoyed being a teacher at the Sunday School for many years and a leader of the Melville Branch of the Church of England Girl's Society, which is now disbanded. I also sang on the choir and was a server at the altar, for a couple of years, in 2000.
I have experienced a lot of fun and fellowship with other members of the church during fund-raising events and other social activities, which is still to be enjoyed, today, at Holy Cross, Church, Melville. This year, I have become a Children's Club Helper, at the Sunday Club, on a roster basis.
The Reverend Debbie May, is now the rector of the church of the Holy Cross, and with her help and guidance, in the church and in the community, we look forward to the future
God Bless you all.
Alice

Pictured here are Jill Bowman (left) and Glenys Salmon (centre) who together with Gerald Morton (photo to follow, maybe?) make up our team of very able and dedicated church wardens. The trio is completed with our rector Revd Debbie May (right).
