Long Island

An overnight trip past several reefs and islands, was great fun, we slept by the fire on the beach, except for Gary, who swam at least 70 metres to the boat at about 11pm. He needed several stiff Bourbons to get the courage up after the tide came in and the wind changed, dragging the second anchor off the beach. We had seen a large shark in the area that afternoon and I have to say he is a braver man than I.

A fishing adventure holiday, people pay to rough it here on Long Island for a couple of weeks at a time, supplies are bought in from Onslow every few days. We set up camp about a mile up the beach after spending the afternoon trolling.

On the way back we stopped to drift and Gary picked up this nice little Red Emperor.

The Driftwood fire is going well, so what do we have for dinner then fella's

A few nice Painted Crayfish should do the trick, but what do we have to cook them in?

What about barbeque? No worries!

The Sun breaks through for another brilliant day!

That sun is bright immediately, I am reaching for the sunglasses

Almost packed up after cereal, and bacon cooked on a gas plate, ready for another day.
