This section allows Australian citizens or legal residents to bring a child into Australia for adoption. The child can either be adopted overseas, or you can apply to bring in the child to be adopted in Australia.

The Australian adoption papers must have been completed before you apply for the child to migrate.

Application fees for this section are AUD$1055, plus document cost of $10. This money is not refunded if the application fails. To save yourself the possibility of losing AUD$1065, you can do our self-assessment.
