Under the Trans Tasman Agreement, travel between New Zealand and Australia is unrestricted. This means that citizens of either country do not need a visa to travel to the other. However, if you are a family member of a New Zealand citizen, but you do not have New Zealand citizenship yourself, you cannot enter Australia until a visa has been granted.
