This scheme is to help employers find skilled workers in areas away from the large cities. You must be prepared to live
in a country town. There are three stages:
- Certificate of Nomination.
The employer registers a need for a skilled employee with the local Department of Immigration and Mulitcultural Affairs.
- The employer nominates a suitable employee. This can be by Skill Matching, advertising
or recommendation.
- The nominee applies for a visa.

If you have an Australian employer who has a Certificate of Nomination for a Regional Sponsored Migrant, then check
here for a visa self assessment to see if you have the qualifications and can fulfil requirements.
