This section is for husbands and wives to enter Australia to join their marriage partners. You need to be already married to apply under this section. If you are not married to your partner, and do not intend to marry, but you live together in the same relationship as if you had made your marriage vows, then you may apply to migrate to Australia as a de facto spouse (a partner)

A package of migration forms from the Australian authorities will cost you AUD$10 for a  permanent visa application. To send in your application costs AUD$1055, plus all the photocopying and document collecting you will have to do (considerable time and effort!). If your application fails, the Australian authorities do not refund your money.
