What is this place?
It's a web comic. More specifically, a web comic about a group of girls who deciede to form their very own rock band. It's about friends hanging out, boozing up, rocking out, playing music, critiquing pop culture, laughing at sub-cultures and looking for lurve. It's also about icecream smoothies.
Can I have a small coke and medium fries?
No. This isn't some sleezy neighbourhood McDonalds. Go peddle your attention elsewhere.
Are any of the characters based on you or anyone else in real life?
Some minor characters are based on real people, but the main ones mostly come from that little thing called the imagination. There's pretty much a little bit of me in all of the characters, though.
How do you make the comics?
It's a process. And like most processes, it occurs in steps ----> (a) take plain sheet of paper, (b) draw comic in pencil, (c) draw over it and touch it up with fineliner, (d) scan it in, (e) colour layer by layer and touch up ect. in Photoshop 7.0, (f) if it's good, stand back and admire the comic. if it's bad, sink into an endless void of despair.
Your comic is stoopid.
That's not a question.
Where can I direct my complaints/love-letters/hate-mail/fan-mail/smoothy recipes?
Why, just send 'em all over to here: playingrockstars@yeayea.com
Where do you live/ where is the comic made?
All comics come courtesy of my beautiful home [city] of Perth in Western Australia, arguably the most isolated capital city IN THE WORLD.
I'm from [enter country here] and I dont get your irrational Australian humour/cultural references/music. What should I do?
Move to Australia? Beats me.
Are you a music snob/elitist?
Haha..I wish I was that cool. I'm more in the poser category.
Do you like to rock?
Very much so. Do you?
Girls playing rock'n'roll? Whats up with that?
Web comics about girl musos are much too rare. I thought that there's enough gamer comics out there and very little music-centred comics. I made this for anyone who loves non-mainstream music and the girls who play it.
But...girls..playing rock...whats up with that?
Frankly, I was surprised they were allowed out of the kitchen.
You spelt "guitar" wrong, it's not "geetar".
I'm aware of that. Now go read my comic.
Come to think of it, you spell a lot of words wrong.
Are you sure you should be reading this? It seems like you might be late for your anal-retentiveness support group.
Smile if you love me?
I love you baby, but I just can't smile.
