Welcome to Tiger Island
Surfers Paradise Queensland.
Please make welcome these magnificent animals!!
As you can see with these pictures these guys and gals are a very happy bunch. A credit must go to the keepers as they too have
worked so hard to make sure that all is perfect for them. The keepers have alot to do with keeping us the public happy and
asking people to ask questions about the tigers and their habitat. You would not believe how popular Tiger Island is there
are so many people with the love of tigers and they are so interested to see these wonderful animals. This picture
on the right shows you how they all love their milk and as Sita had first seating for the milk now you can see Patrick taking
time to give Rama some and in the mean time stopping Sita from having any.
Quick question for you all ... did you know that not all cats purr? Some of them purr and some just roar. We heard Sultan roar as
though he was purring and then when we went to the Animal show in the eating area at Dreamworld they bought out a Couger and she
purred so loudly it was just amazing.
When we went in for our picture they had bought Rama out and sat him on the deck he was chained but not too tightly. We were
warned not to strock him on his head or touch his paws. I knew how much he liked milk so I took in a small carton of milk for
him. I knew that I would not be able to give him the milk myself (although I was hoping) but I just wanted to give him
something for allowing us to be with him. I hope you enjoy these magnificent pictures. You will see Simon give Rama his milk
and just some of the stances he takes. It was wonderful to be so close to him and see his power and muscles. He is a magnificent
animal. Even though I am home (back in Perth Western Australia) I am still in awe with them.
I love them so much and it is good to see and know that the money from the pictures goes to
help save the Tigers. Which might I add are now down to 5000 out there.

I would really like to make mention that the keepers in Dreamworld have only the Tigers best interests at heart and they are
so patient. I would like to say thank you to Patrick, Simon and Robert, these guys are only some of the many who have been
caring for these magnificent animals and they do such a great job.
Thank you so very much. If you ever go to Dreamworld here in Australia do yourself a favour and have your picture taken with
a Tiger. It will be an experience you will never ever forget!!
