The basic idea behind the WODE jukebox is contained in the name, it turns your console into a jukebox where gamers no longer have to load games from discs and instead just select the game they want to play from a menu. With the WODE; disc swapping, scratched discs, or dead DVDROM drives from overuse are a thing of the past.

The Wii WODE is a Wii hard drive mod that features a revolutionary LCD panel and joystick built into the vertical stand allowing user’s to scroll through games loaded on Wii hard disk (s) or SD cards offering unparalleled game support unlike its software-based USB Loader cousins which have average game compatibility. These games include but are not limited to Metriod Prime, Super Smash Bros (dual layer), New Super Mario Bros (BCA protection) as well as all Gamecube titles. This means that the WODE allows users to grab a hard drive and backup their Wii and Gamecube games onto the hard disk eliminating the need to swap discs or figure out expensive and time-consuming methods required to backup games onto disc.

The W.O.D.E. function is also seamless as it emulates the DVD-ROM Drive and it’s expected this method is the hardest for Nintendo to detect and block. This is great news for those with softmod solutions such as the USB Loaders, USB loader GX, Wii home brew, & Wii USB loader who have had their software deleted by Nintendo after a update or even had their system bricked because of the short-term nature of Wii soft mod solutions. Unlock Wii methods ie Wii loader USB are also known to be quite buggy and not work with current games. The Wii homebrew channel is the best way to know if a chip for Wii hasn't been installed, though its not fullproof as a Wii chip can power the homebrew Wii channel. Instead look for other Wii unlock software like Wii loader USB and Wii backup game loader which generally mean you have a Wii modded without a chip Wii.

Jukebox also functions as a normal, conventional Wii modchip allowing backup, original and overseas Wii (overseas games only supported pre-System Update 4.2) & GC games to run from disc by simply selecting the “Flat Wode” option on the LCD screen. The Wode also supports all versions of the consoles and is also the first solution to support the V3 & V4 consoles with support for game (iso format) loading from USB devices making it a great choice for owners of consoles with serial numbers over LAH1162xxxx. There is no disc support for V3 & V4, but gamers can simply boot the games from the hard drive anyway. Best of all the Wii jukebox is fully upgradeable as it based on Linux.
