A complete success: Tango Workshop, Milonga and Floorshow: The first Tango workshop in Launceston can only be described as a complete success. With an average of 30 people per workshop, about 60 for the Milonga/Floor Show and the best guidance and support from Sydney's Tango specialist's Peter Waller and Lisa de Lazzari. Stay tune as we are in the process of editing a series of Videos about these workshops. In the meantime, fell free to check out some of the pictures available on our website. Tango Practica: In Tango jargon, Practicas are described as supervised and guided Tango practices. The Cambalache Tango Club is having the very first Practica on Sunday 23 July 2006 from 7pm to 8:30pm. The cost per person is only $3 dollars and everyone (beginners and intermediate level students) is most welcomed. Practicas will be at St. Catherine’s Hall at 188 - 192 Penquite Road in Norwood (in front of Queechy High School). We also have a $50 ticket that you can use at all Practicas and 10 lessons any Sunday for a period of up to 3 months. Please do not hesitate to contact us on 0404 196 957 for more information.

Tango & Children: As from Sunday 23 July 2006, the Cambalache Tango Club will be running Tango Classes from 6pm to 7pm at St. Catherine’s Hall (188 - 192 Penquite Road in Norwood  - in front of Queechy High School). The cost is $5 per person. The good news is that we are now able to provide babysitting for the Sunday classes upon request. St. Catherine's Hall has an adjacent newly equipped outdoor playground (fully fenced!) as well as a separate indoor area that can be used for children's indoor activities. The cost per child is only $3 an hour (third child and up is free). In that way you and/or your partner can really enjoy the class. Please feel free to ring us on 0404 196 957 and book a place for your child in advance.

Informal Tango Practice: Keep up your skills up with ongoing practice free of charge. We meet at the City Park Rotunda (Monkey's Park) every second Wednesday from 1:30PM to practice Tango in an informal and relax atmosphere.

Everyone is welcomed to enjoy this beautiful and romantic set-up and enjoy the music and the dance in the hearth of Launceston. No bookings are required, just turn up with your friends or by yourself. Be ready to have lots of fun! (click on the photo for more information)
