'Dancing Out' at the Albert Hall: The 2nd big DANCING OUT Milonga on the 20th of July was simply magnificent. Over 60 tango and salsa dancers (the first 'Dancing Out' attracted 80 people) from Launceston and Hobart danced the night away in a spectacular surrounding created by Caroline (Caroline Greig's Productions). Caroline transformed together with several CTC members the Albert Hall into a fairytale like ambience. The lavish decoration in the tango colours red (passion/love) and black (nostalgia/pain) with many red roses and candle light created a very romantic atmosphere. The palms added a beach and Latin feeling, which especially the Salsa dancers enjoyed. The dancers themselves used the opportunity and dressed up beautifully. Many ladies wore elegant dresses and seeing men in suits was a special treat for the ladies. Dancing tango in this atmosphere was truly magical for everybody. The salsa performance by Rachel & Tony was terrific and the following short salsa lesson enabled everybody to dance to the salsa music too. Even tough, or because of, most of us not getting the steps right, we all had a lot of fun and it created a true sense of an inclusive (dance) community. Many commented that this was one of the best nights out they have ever had! Thus, if you missed the first and second 'Dancing Out', don’t miss the next one on 24th August 2007 at 8PM. Don’t forget to bring your friends along too! The CTC thanks all the people who helped putting up and dismantling the deco, but most of all Caroline for gifting us with such a magnificent evening. We much appreciate it and already look so much forward to the next DANCING OUT at the Albert Hall on the 24th of August! Tickets are  $15 per person. For bookings and information, please contact the Cambalache Tango Club on 0420 517 849. Don't forget to check the picture gallery from that evening.

The Northern Club offers a Tango evening! After running for a long time only beginners classes, we are very pleased to now being able to offer a supervised Tango practica to advanced tango dancers. The practica will be supervised by Carmencita and Wei, who will show us more advanced tango movements, which we can then practice together. The Northern Club has kindly offered their inviting space – an aristocratic home like venue has a very pleasant bar with leather lounges, wood fire, Tango music, great floor and much more. The practica will commence this Wednesday, 01 August 2007, starting 7PM at the Northern Club @ 5/61 Cameron Street, Launceston. There is no fee for the practica. Instead we ask you to purchase drinks and food from the Northern Club as return for allowing us to use their space. Please note that Wednesday evening supervised practica is by invitation only to ensure maximum benefit for more advanced dancers. The invitations will go out shortly.

Buenos Aires Lives: An inexpensive World-Class city: Last year, a record-breaking number of international travellers chose to visit this sexy, sultry, and booming country. Why? It's perhaps the only genuine "world-class" destination of the new millennium where the weak U.S. dollar still goes a long, long way. In Argentina, dining, shopping, lodging, entertainment, and real estate prices remain up to 70% less than other world-class destinations. With so many new visitors fuelling Argentina's revived economy, it's no wonder the "New Argentina" is attracting attention from investors all over the world. Please read on here to learn how you can profit from Argentina's promising travel, real estate, and investment opportunities.
