New Tango Movie 'Tango or Death': 'Tango or Death' is a new documentary which was recently completed by RedCreek Productions in Argentina. This new film will be released in different languages (including English) in September 2006. The film is a portray of the Orquesta Tipica Fernandez, the most exciting new tango orchestra in decades, and was filmed in Argentina, Uruguay, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Holland and Germany.

Tango Visitors from Hobart: Ruth and Jason from Hobart are coming to visit us and share some of their Tango experience with us here in Launceston for the first time!. Jason and Ruth starting Tango dance at the Tasmanian Tango Club in Hobart and they've been dancing together for a few years. Their style is not about the steps but about the connection with your partner and the energy that Tango creates on each movement. So if you want to see them in action and be delighted by their Tango moves, make sure you pencil down Saturday May 26 and Sunday May 27 at around 7pm at 3 Steps on George. Come and join us for a drink and the best company within a relax atmosphere

Next Milonga at the North West Tango Club: The North West Tango Club in Burnie is organising it's monthly Milonga on  Saturday, 12 May at the Tango Hall in Burnie. Please note, that the Milongas in Burnie will from now on always be on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 7:30pm to midnight or longer.   Entry is free!
There is no bar service, so please bring your own drinks and some finger-food to share. Hoping to see you on the dance floor next Saturday!

We are moving into town!: As from Friday 25th of May 2007, the Cambalache Tango Club will be running Tango classes for beginners at the Stompin's Dance Studio located at The Quadrant Mall in the heart of Launceston! Classes will run each Friday from 6.30pm to 7.30pm (Beginners 1) and from 7:30pm to 8:30pm (Beginners 2) plus the 'Practica'. You can purchase a package for a total of 4 lessons called 'The Fundamentals of Tango' and you'll get a copy of our program and membership. The package costs only $40 per person and individual lessons are $15 per person. Tango & Salsa Party at Toro's on York: Join us on 31 of Mayl 2007 from 7PM onwards. This combined Tango and Salsa party is open to the public and everyone with a particular interest in practicing their Salsa and Tango moves is most welcomed. Come and join us and be ready to have lots of fun. Tickets are only $15 per person and you'll get a glass of Sangria and Tapas included with your ticket (also local Latin performances). AusInternationalTangoFest - May 30 to June 3: Tango dancers from all over Australia and some parts of the world will once again congregate in Sydney for the 3rd international Argentine Tango festival. We will be immersed in dancing tango, a dance that is unique and reflects the different styles of the dancers.  After the first two successful festivals we had, we invite you to come and join the fun. Don't miss the chance to discover Sydney and what makes it one of the beautiful cities if not the most, in the world while at the same time enjoying your passion for tango. The 3rd international tango festival in Sydney with it's new name AusInternationalTangoFest, is waiting for you. Don't miss out!

Incoming Tango Practices: Feel free to come and join our regular Tango Practices (free of charge) at the City Park Rotunda (Monkey's Park) on Wednesdays only from 1:00 to 3:00 (lunch time). Everyone is welcomed to enjoy the music & dance in this beautiful place within the hearth of Launceston.
