Tango on Mondays: With a good number of students, the
Monday class will continue during the August 2006. You still have time to join this
beginners class on Monday 14th and 21st of August 2006.
Class Duration: 2 hours each (guided social practice is included) from 6 to 8PM
@ Heather Masonic Hall in Newstead (Penquite Road
with Robin Street). Regular beginners classes ($5 pp) are also run every Sunday
from 6 to 7PM followed by Guided Practicas from 7 to 8PM at St
Catherine's Hall in Norwood (188 - 192 Penquite Road)

and join the first Tango Chat Room in Tasmania. Is open to all

Tango
Music: Feel free to check out and order some of the Tango Music
available at the Cambalache Tango Club. With over 2000 Tangos, our
collection can be borrowed by our members in Mp3 and conventional
Compact Disks. We also have Tango DVDs for intermediate, Beginners
and Advance level dancers available (upon request) for a period of
up to 2 weeks. Also a reminder to return the items on time so other
people can access them too.

Incoming Tango
Practices: We are having regular Tango Practices (free of charge) at the City Park Rotunda (Monkey's Park)
on Wednesdays or Thursdays from 1:00 to 2:30 (lunch time). During August 2006,
we are meeting on Wednesday 9th and Thursdays 3rd; 17th and 31st of August
2006.
Everyone is welcomed to
enjoy this beautiful place within the hearth of Launceston. No bookings/partners
required.

Dancers of the Month: At
the Cambalache Tango Club (CTC) we value perseverance, natural
talent, commitment and passion for Tango dance. In recognition of

Who was Astor Piazzola?:
Astor Piazzola was one of the greatest Tango musician of the new
Tango era. He was a controversial figure during the 70's and his
legacy is very alive in Tango Bands such as 'Gotan Project'. At the
Cambalache Tango Club we have a new documentary video (VHS)
about the life of this famous Tango Musician. if you would like to

Tango Orchestra: The
documentary "Orquesta Típica: Tango or Death" is a new documentary
which was recently completed by RedCreek Productions in Argentina.
This new film will be released in different languages (including
English) in September 2006. The film is a portray of the
Orquesta Tipica Fernandez,
the most exciting new tango orchestra in decades, and was filmed in
Argentina, Uruguay, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Holland and
Germany. We are looking into showing this movie at one of our
Milongas (date TBC), so stay tune!
