Classic Scottish Claymore with drooping quillons.
History:
From the Gaelic claidheamh mór, which means great sword, the Claymore was a two-handed sword used in Scotland in the 15th and 16th centuries.
As depicted in this photo the claymore had a small pommel, a straight grip, large quillons above a long and heavy blade.*

Beautiful hand carved brass hilt set on a hardened steel blade, etched with your designs, names, family crests etc.
The Hilt is solid brass entwined with four snakes whose tails are holding an eagle claw pommel which grips a clear crystal ball.
The Quillon is solid brass carved into eight snakes holding 2 blue glass balls.
Into the base of the hilt are carved eyes with blue jewels.

All steel Quillon and Pommel it has a leather covered wooden handle strengthened with copper wire. The Pommel is etched with your crest and the blade is beautifully etched to your requirements. Classic straight Quillon is highly polished and can be etched to order. Matching Scabbard Available!
History:
Edward, Prince of Wales, is remembered by some as a great chivalric hero of British history, and an able commander with notable victories at the Battles of Crecy and Poitiers. The son of Edward III, king of England from 1327, he himself never ruled as king because he died a year before his father.
In 1362 he married Joan of Kent. Their son, became King Richard II and ruled between 1377-99.
