BARBERS
POLE OUT BREAKS
With the recent rain falls and then the continued warm weather being experienced have come several reported outbreaks of Barbers pole. A few weeks ago in this column we gave a warning of some early indications that this could happen.
This worm is a sudden killer and the first indications that you have a problem can be in the form of dead animals. If you notice a few animals with a swelling under the chin then it time to urgently take steps. Further inspection of the gums and eyelids will most probably show a very pale skin, indicating a lack of blood caused by the worms.
Although some of the excellent drenched once used are not available or are in short supply your local merchandise stockist should be able to help you.
